All of the Shake lights have been shaken and tested at the factory so they come to you full charged. After you use it, shake it horizontally for about 1/3 of the time it was being used to add power back to the holding circuitry so you will be ready for the next use. This could be even years later and it will still be full charged, just like you left it.
We have a case of 100 flashlights on test since August of 2006. None have been shaken since the test started, but we can turn on any of those flashlights and they will shine as bright as the shake lights that arrived recently.
This Shake light has a full wave rectifier to change the AC power generated by a powerful
Rare Earth Magnet that passes through a full wound coil of fine copper wire and held in the holding circuit until the light is tuned on.
Unlike the regular flashlights the LED bulb will never need replacement.
And because they are water proof you do not have to worry about getting it wet in a rain storm or if it fell into the water it would float indefinitely without harm to the circuitry.
